Recognition from State Board of Education, Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Educational Opportunity Gap Oversight and Accountability Committee
Redmond, Wash. – The Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) has announced that 20 different LWSD schools have been recognized through the Washington School Recognition Program for the 2023-24 school year.
Congresswoman Suzan DelBene visited 8th graders at Stella Schola Middle School this week to discuss leadership.
Teams of four to six students from every middle school in Lake Washington School District showed up at Kirkland Middle School on March 25 for this year’s Battle of the Books.
One of the cornerstones of the Stella Schola Middle School experience is the robust mentor program that involves all three grades.
“The mentor-mentee program is like having a younger or older sibling you’ve never had. You get to learn a lot from each other,” says Ishita Gadhamsetty, eighth grade student mentor.
Congratulations go out to Green Gladiators (Yilin Guo, Thomas Laurino, Hasan Salahuddin, Yotam Zur, Hutch Cockrell and Saarth Bhargava), the 8th grade team from Stella Schola Middle School who recently won the Washington State Future City contest.
