Parents and students cleaned up the grounds around Bell Elementary School after school on Friday, October 13.
Stella Schola PTO is a parent/teacher organization created in support of Stella Schola Middle School, a small public school in the Lake Washington School District.
The Stella Schola Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is organized exclusively for educational purposes in support of our children and their teachers. There are no dues - all parents of Stella Schola students are automatically part of the PTO. Community members who wish to be part of the PTO may be included as well. The PTO is a 501c3 organization so all donations to the PTO are tax deductible.
Activities sponsored by the PTO fall into three categories. First of all, the PTO supports the community by planning and sponsoring food / clothing drives, parenting classes, and family social events (potluck, student socials, swim get-together, ski club, chess club, book club, staff appreciation, etc).
Secondly, the PTO assists staff by purchasing materials to enrich the learning environment by providing funds to purchase classroom materials (chemistry products, extra novel sets, art supplies for special projects, environmental beautification projects, out-of-classroom field experiences, etc).
Finally, the PTO supports Stella Schola Middle School by providing financial assistance for students who cannot afford to go on field trips and by providing opportunities for students to apply for scholarships to further their education. Please refer to the Stella Schola PTO bylaws as well.
